This Plugin let your visitors download a post as PDF file: images, formats, lists, tables included. You can use a PDF as template file and much more.

Last Changes: Bugfix code/pre tags, integrated alpha image support, autosizing too large images, sys_get_temp_dir bugfix, different template for pages, selectable if date is printed on pages, bugfix images with relative path, automatically added link to post/page bottom, added romanian language support.

Last Changes: Style tags now get removed from post, the tmp dir is now configurable to avoid problems.

Last Changes: PDF files now temporarily stored in tmp dir, then send to the browser via a file. So if now someone has problems with output buffering, we can do the redirect via javascript (configurable via options) what solves the problem. Also new: If a post or page is edited the pdf cache file gets deleted automatically if the file exists.

Last Changes: All open output buffers are now closed before pdf output (bugfix, thx @ Frank who let me in his blog to test and debug that). Sorry for two updates on one day, but it was really important for me to get that bug out of sight.

WP-Options-Manager

With this plugin you can browse, delete and debug the entrys of your WordPress options database table. WordPress default options can be hidden automatically and some popular plugin options are referenced with the plugin name. An automatic search for deprecated options is also available and you can automatically let collect which options are accessed. But not enough: Search all activated or installed plugin files by a term to ensure that you only delete options that are not required anymore. Hallo,

das Plugin ist einfach spitze, sehr einfach und übersichtlich. Nur habe ich ein kleines Problem, wenn ich einen Artikel oder Seite als PDF speichern will wo Bilder drin sind kommt ein Fehler, hab schon jpg, png usw. probiert kommt überall der Fehler.

Wenn ich eine Seite ohne Bilder speichere oder eine Seite mit Bilder speiche wo ich in den einstellungen sage ohne Bilder klappt es wunderbar.

Dann noch eine Frage, kann man ihrgend wie den Name von dem PDF vorgeben wie er es nennen soll?

Okay, der Fehler ist behoben und das Plugin inzwischen noch weiter verbessert worden. Auch die Namen der PDF Dateien werden nun aus dem Artikelnamen gebildet. Danke für dein Feedback per Mail. 🙂

das lässt sich in der nächsten Version sicherlich verwirklichen, ist keine große Sache.

Jetzt sehe ich mal zu, dass ich WP 2.7 installiere und das Plugin bei eventuellen Problemen auf die neue Version anpasse.

Update 0.15 nach 0.16:

Das Datum kann nun mit eingebunden werden, wobei das Datumsformat frei definiert werden kann. Zudem werden internationale “lokales” beachtet. Die Readme.txt wurde ebenfalls geändert und das Plugin offiziell als WP 2.7 tauglich getaggt.

and thank you for your plugin. I use contutto pdf plugin that generates pdf files too, but I have some performance problem because the pdf files are not cached and have to be regenerated every time.

does your plugin works in the sam way? or it cache the pdf files?

Hello Fabiano, no, the plugin does not cache the files, but that is a nice idea. I will release an update with a caching option soon. Nevertheless: I had no performance problems with the plugin yet.

I had a problem using your plugin for WP 2.7.

I kept getting the ending slash / at the end of the URL and before the “?article2pdf=1″ string, so I got a “not found” error. I tried to alter the .htaccess and wp-config files, with no luck.

So, I changed the link to this, which worked for me:

Hello Jerry, the link in your comment is possibly broken, but I think the problem is related to the permalink structure of your blog. I’ll use permalinks too, my permalink structure is simply “/%postname%/” (with an ending slash). So if the link make problems try to use “./?article2pdf=1″ or something.

Excellent plugin, and so simple! Just what I’ve been waiting for. 🙂

May I suggest two things…

– Per default, it says under Date Format (in the Settings): “%d %M %Y -” (without the quotes) but the %M should actually have a lower case %m right? Perhaps drop all and use “%x -” instead because it outputs the date according to the user’s local setting?

– To consider adding fonts such as Verdana, Courier New, and Georgia.

@Marcus: “%x” sounds very good. The “%M” of the default is a failure of mine, it should be “%b” (eg: 12. Dec 2008 if locale is en_EN), but I forgot to change. But “%x” is a better default.

I will add some fonts and a font selection in the next release.

Hallo Marc,

auch erst einmal ein dickes Dankeschön für dieses tolle Plugin. Ich habe es jetzt schon eine Weile in Gebrauch und erste Artikel wurden sogar bei Google bereits als PDF-Version indiziert. Klasse!

Eines ist mir aber aufgefallen. Gesetzte Überschriften mit h2, h3, h4-Tag werden leider nicht formatiert. Die Artikel werden alle standardmäßig mit der gleichen Schriftgröße ausgeliefert.

Lässt sich da noch was machen?

Ansonsten noch hoffentlich ruhige Nach-Weihnachtstage und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!

Also die Anführungszeichen müssen weg.

Dann kommt allerdings die Meldung, das deine PHP Version zu alt ist. Ein Update auf PHP 5 ist SEHR empfehlenswert, da PHP4 seit bereits einem Jahr nicht mehr suportet wird.

Hi Marc,

A suggestion for this plugin.

Add an extra field to the table that holds the wordpress options, this field should contain the timestamp that it was last accessed.

Then place a hook that writes the timestamp to an option whenever it is accessed.

This way you’ll be able to show options that have not been accessed in the past xx days and will probably not be needed any longer.

That’s really the only thing I’m missing here, other than that it’s an awesome plugin, the only thing I don’t like about it is that I didn’t think of writing it first 😉 Nice work 🙂

1-The link you provided doesn’t work for me. I have to use the following one:

2- If I try to generate a PDF with embeded files, I’ve got the following error= FPDF error: Alpha channel not supported:

I suppose it is a FPDF issue, but I was unable to find any related issue on their web site

3- I’ve got some problems with accent in the generate PDF file (I’ve got & eacute; instead of é for example)

to 1: That’s another way to do it, if you use ID’s and not perma links (like in my blog). I will inlude your example into the documentation.

to 2: FPDF can’t read png images with an alpha channel. This often happens if you use programms like fireworks to edit your pngs. Just save them without an alpha channel and it should give no problems.

to 3: Would be cool to have an example link were I can test it. Have to look further…

Das Resultat sind 18 PDF Seiten anstelle von etwa sechs.

Zweitens finde ich hunderte von zwischengespeicherten PDFs im Cache Status. Ich bezweifle jedoch, dass sie alle von menschlichen Besuchern erstellt wurden. Vermutlich wurden diese aufgrund von “maschinellen” Besuchen erstellt (Googlebot?).

Irgendeine Idee wie man die Erstellung von zwischengespeicherten PDFs auf menschliche Besucher beschränken kann (z.B. nur wenn jemand mit der Maus auf den Link klickt oder über die Tastatur den Link auswählt und auf “Enter” drückt)?

Drittens, dass die Cache Status Liste gemäß dem erstellten Datum geordnet ist. (Sie scheint gegenwärtig ungeordnet zu sein.)

Viertens, dass man einstellen kann, dass die “abgelaufenen” Dateien (rot gekennzeichnet) nach einer bestimmten Zeit vom “Cache Status” entfernt werden, und man einstellen oder selektieren kann, dass man nur die abgelaufenen Dateien löscht, und dass man vielleicht einzelne zwischengespeicherte Dateien löschen kann.

Und viertens, dass die eigene PDF Vorlagendatei bei einem automatischen Upgrade erhalten bleibt. 🙂

Hallo Marcus,

das es 18 Seiten werden ist völlig klar, weil du die “Tabelle” als UL / LI Liste mit CSS gemacht hast. Das wird sich leider nicht ändern lassen, außer du baust die Daten auch als echte Datentabelle auf. Tipp: Auch das geht barrierefrei und xhtml valide (stichwort, abbr, th, tbody, thead,…).

Das die Generierung durch Suchmaschinen angestoßen wird ist völlig normal und von mir auch erwünscht. Ich z.B. lasse meine PDF Dateien nur einmal am Tag neu generieren wenn sie aufgerufen werden, da sich typischerweise die einzelnen Beiträge in einem Blog wenn sie einmal veröffentlich sind selten ändern. Es ließe sich über den User-Agent beschränken, ist aber in meinen Augen nicht wichtig, da die Suchmaschinen die PDF Dateien ja indizieren SOLLEN (SEO). Ich könnte sowas einbauen, aber dann würde ich vorher wissen, wo der Nutzen darin für dich liegt. Bitte mal näher erläutern.

Das mit der Sortierung hingegen halte ich für sinnvoll, hier sollte ich noch eine Auswahl “nach Alphabet”, “nach Erstellungsdatum” integrieren. Desweiteren könnte ich auch noch hinzufügen, dass alle abgelaufenen PDF Dateien oder auch einzelne gelöscht werden können. Wobei ich alle abgelaufenen auch wieder für nicht so sinnvoll halte. Das sie rot sind heißt ja nur, dass die Datei älter ist als die definierte Ablaufzeit, aber nicht, dass sie nicht mehr aktuell ist.

Die PDF Vorlagedatei bleibt erhalten, außer du nennst sie “example.pdf”, oder sehe ich das falsch? Weil: Eigentlich werden beim Update nur Dateien überschrieben, die im Plugin ZIP enthalten sind, eben die example.pdf. Dateien die nicht im ZIP sind sollten auch nicht überschrieben werden.

Freue mich auf weiteres Feedback.

@Hartmut: Einfach z.B. in Word oder einem anderen Office Tool ein Briefpapier erstellen und mit einem Tool das Dokument als PDF speichern (gibt da diverse kostenlose Lösungen, sogar online) und die Datei hochladen. Dürfte das einfachste sein denke ich.

eine Generierung durch und Listung in Suchmaschinen halte ich in diesem Fall für schädlich. Domains mit doppeltem Inhalt (dublicate content) werden von Suchmaschinen im Regelfall hart bestraft. Manchmal sofort, manchmal etwas später… 😉

Bezüglich Vorlage dachte ich das gleiche. Nach dem automatischen Upgrade war jedoch meine persönliche Vorlagendatei (“mgc.pdf”) aus dem Ordner “pdftempaltes” verschwunden, sodass ich sie wieder hochladen musste.

Hallo Marcus,

bezüglich des Problems der Vorlage: Dann sieht es so aus, als würde beim Update durch WordPress das Verzeichnis komplett gelöscht und die neuen Dateien eingespielt. Das ist natürlich doof. Ich werd’s dann so ändern, dass die Vorlagen in einem Unterordner im Uploadverzeichnis gespeichert werden. Das ist denke ich mal das Einfachste.

Zum Suchmaschinenproblem: Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob PDF Versionen von Seiten von Google wirklich als duplicate content gewertet werden, deswegen habe ich gerade mal gesucht und nachgelesen und bin zu dem Ergebnis gekommen, dass dies nicht als duplicate content gewertet wird.

Edit: Doch, es kann sein, dass es als duplicate content gewertet wird, habe nochmal weiter nachgelesen. Kommt aber darauf an, wie die Seite und die PDF aufgebaut ist.

Wenn du nicht will, das PDF Dateien indiziert werden kannst du auch folgendes machen:

– Lege im WebRoot eine Datei “robots.txt” an und füge folgenden Inhalt hinzu:

User-agent: *

Disallow: /*.pdf$

Das verbietet allen Spidern den Zugriff auf PDF Dateien und diese werden nicht mehr indiziert.

Ich schaue aber trotzdem mal, ob ich das nicht als Option mit einbauen kann. Den User-Agent zu ermitteln und einen “forbidden” zu senden ist ja keine große Sache.

Second there is a bug with the new version, when i try to deactivate it, it says deactivated but its not deactivated.

Hello I-Man.

Oops, yes I see theres a bug. On deactivation the plugin activates itself again. I will fix it (not a big problem) and release a new version.

The rss_xyz… entrys are safe to delete. WordPress will create new entrys on demand where it’s needed.

The “set_checkbox” entrys… hm, never had a plugin that created such entrys. It seems that this are configuration entrys of a plugin. The plugin stores in that array which checkboxes are selected. Hint: Click through the configuration pages of your plugins. If “set_checkbox” not collected by the automatic save of accessed options, delete them. BUT: Maybe backup your database before (use the plugin WP-DBManager or WP-DB-Backup).

hallo,

dieser plugin ist genau das was ich suche,jedoch habe ich ein paar fragen und erweiterungs vorschläge eventuell:

A:wie kann ich einstellen das der creator die komplette formatierung von dem Artikel ins pdf überträgt? Also das er das kursive/das fette/farblich markierte mit ins pdf übernimmt.

B:und wiekann ich einstellen das wenn ich im templer 2 seiten habe, das heißt ein deckblatt und dann das eigentliche temp. das der creator das deckblatt auslässt und bei der 2. seite den artikel einfügt.

noch eine zwei sachen noch:

1. bei der ersten seite funktinoiert pdf seitenränder einstellung für die obereseite nicht.

2. Wie kann ich die seiten zahl und gesammtseitenzahl in der kopfzeile hinzufügen?

fett und kursiv sollte automatisch übernommen werden, es ist derzeit nicht formatierbar. Farbliche Markierungen werden derzeit nicht übernommen, da das Style Attribut und das CSS nicht beachtet werden. Das wäre auch recht komplex und übersteigt möglicherweise die Möglichkeiten.

Wenn fett und kursiv nicht übernommen werden, benutzt du möglicherweise noch die 0.18er Version? Die hatte einen Bug.

Zum PDF Template: Im Moment ist das PDF Template lediglich ein Briefpapier, aber die Idee mit dem Deckblatt finde ich ganz nett. Ich schau mal, dass ich das in einer der nächsten Versionen mit einbaue.

Das der obere Rand auf der ersten Seite nicht funktioniert ist seltsam, bei mir tut’s das einwandfrei. Was für Ränder hast du denn eingestellt?

Zur Seitenzahl: Die Seite auf der man gerade ist sowie die Gesamtseitenzahl wird doch im Acrobat angezeigt, für einen Ausdruck auf dem Drucker wäre das natürlich toll. Problem ist leider nur, dass ich wenn ich das PDF aufbaue noch gar nicht weiß, wieviele Seiten das PDF haben wird. Ist also nicht ganz untrivial. Vielleicht geht es, die Seitenzahlen noch nachträglich auf die Seite zu schreiben, muss ich mal schauen.

Ich hab es mit einem anderen artikel ausprobiert, der fehlerlag bei mir 😀 denn in dem artikel gabs keine fettschrift 🙂

ich habe es schrittweise ausprobiert, da ich gemerkt habe das sich da nichts tut. Ich bin bis auf 250 hochgegangen, oben tut sich auf der ERSTEN seite nichts, die einstellung für OBEN ist erst bei der 2. seite zu sehen. Die anderen seitenränder einstellung Funktionieren einwandfrei bei jeder pdf seite.

Könnte man etwas einbauen das er die unterschiedliche schriftgröße in dem artikel auch automatisch übernimmt? Es ist da alles eine größe.

Ich habe nicht recht verstanden, wie ich eine neue schriftart hinzufügen kann, habe auch keine anleitung oder sowas in dem plugin gefunden.

Hi Ludo,

normaly the images are displayed centered. The problem with your pdf is, that the image dimensions are too large for the pdf.

I’m planning to add a routine that rezises the images in the pdf, but I have to do some calculations and tests first.

Hope for the next release.

250 wäre 25 Zentimeter… möglicherweise ist das ein Bug, bei mir funktioniert es zwar (25 oberer Abstand), aber vielleicht habe ich da noch ein Problem übersehen. Werde ich untersuchen.

Das mit den Schriftgrößen ist zu kompliziert. Ich denke so wie es ist, reicht es schon.

Das Hinzufügen von Schriftarten ist auf http://www.fpdf.org irgendwo erklärt, muss du mal schauen. Muss ich mich selbst auch noch mit auseinandersetzen. Kommt dann aber wohl in einer der nächsten Releases.

The author/editor just has to replace the id number with the id number of the page it’s being placed on.

That works for me!

Olivier, please activate the plugin in your blog. Then I can test where the problem is. Alternative: Save a generated PDF file on disk and mail it to my email (m_schieferdecker@hotmail.com). Then I can debug the pdf file.

If I save the pdf on disk and open it with a texteditor I get the content:

FPDF error: Unable to create output file: /home/www/62d5394744d8887f45a2c1f5bb25a547/web/wp-content/plugins/article2pdf/../../uploads/a2p.cache.ils-veulent-nous-museler.pdf

That means: Your upload dir (/wp-content/uploads) is not writeable by the webserver and the cache file can not be written.

Solution: Deactive the caching feature, and it will work.

Another solution: Make the upload directory writable for the webserver (connect ftp and chmod the upload directory to 766 (rwxrw-rw-)).

In the next release I will integrate a check if the directory is writeable. If not, caching will be disabled by default, or the tmp path is used… I’ll have to try that out.

You have to filter post->post_content before the hook “template_redirect” is called, because this hook executes the article2pdf plugin.

@Tom: An similar example can be found in the FAQ.

Das mit dem Textumfluss ist leider ziemlich kompliziert zu programmieren, weil man das von Hand coden muss, es gibt keine Funktion dafür in der FPDF lib.

Zusätzliche Überschriftsformatierungen müsste ich in eines der nächsten Releases packen.

NGG nutze ich auch, das war mir auch schon aufgefallen. Vielleicht wäre es hilfreich, wenn ich hierfür eine konfigurierbare Filterfunktion einbauen würde, dann bekäme man aber immer noch eine leere Seite.

Wenn aus OL immer UL wird, dann ist da wohl noch ein Bug, oder ich habe das noch nicht implentiert… weiß ich nicht mehr genau. 🙂

mir sind noch zwei Sachen aufgefallen. In einigen Texten werden Anführungszeichen durch Fragezeichen ersetzt. Ist wohl immer wenn ich einen Text aus Word kopiert hatte und Anführungszeichen unten verwende.

Die zweite Sache ist, das Problem mit den eckigen Klammern tritt auch auf, wenn man die normale Beschriftungsfunktion von Bildern benutzt.

Das mit den Word-Zeichen war mir klar, deswegen gibt’s ja im TinyMCE Html Editor auch diesen tollen Knopf “Als Word Text einfügen” – denn Word-HTML ist nicht webkompatibel. Ich schau’s mir aber mal an.

Bezüglich des Problems mit Plugins (die Beschriftungsfunktion scheint auch ein Plugin zu sein, sonst gäbe es da keine eckigen Klammern) muss ich mal schauen, ob ich mich an einen späteren Hook dranhänge, so dass ich nicht reincode des Posts bekomme, sondern den, der auch auf der Webseite ausgegeben würde. Das muss ich aber erstmal testen. Kommt dann in der neuen Version.

Hi Alejandro,

a spanish translation would be nice. Just copy the file article2pdf-de_DE.po and rename it to article2pdf-es_ES.po – then open the file with poedit and translate after changing the po configuration.

If you get an error when uploading a new template file the directory is not writeable to the webserver (path: article2pdfcontributedpdftemplates). Connect via FTP and set the permissions of this directory to 777 (rwxrwxrwx).

In a next release I will move the pdf templates to another directory because an update of the plugin overwrites the directory entrys. It seems WP kills the files when updating a plugin.

Super Tool, genau was ich gesucht hatte. Das Implementieren hat allerdings ein wenig Mühe gemacht, was allerdings mein eigener Fehler war. Dummerweise sind einige Artikel in Word formuliert worden und nicht immer über die “einfüge” Option veröffentlicht… also hängen in einigen Texten nun Fragezeichen und Bilder über dem Text!

Hallo Johannes,

leider erlaubt dein Hoster nicht den Zugriff auf verschiedene PHP Funktionen, wenn diese Daten über eine URL abrufen. Da kann ich leider nichts machen. Deaktiviere das Bilder mit eingebunden werden in den Optionen, dann hast du wenigstens den Text als PDF. Oder sprich mal mit deinem Hoster, ob sich da vielleicht noch was drehen lässt.

Eventuell kann ich auch mal schauen, ob ich das so umbiegen kann, dass ich lokale Dateien auch lokal lade, dann dürfte dieses Problem nicht mehr auftreten. Muss ich mal schauen.

Ich habe das Plugin zum laufen gebracht, es war doch ein lokaler Fehler:

Das Blog hatte eine neue Domain bekommen, ist aber auf dem alten Webspace geblieben.

Ich hatte (um schönere URLS zu erhalten) im Admin-Bereich einfach die Blog-Adresse geändert.

Soweit so gut – leider zeigten die URLs der eingebundenen Bilder noch auf die Subdomain beim Webhoster.

Beim betrachten der Homepage fiel das nicht auf, die subdomain ist ja immernoch gültig.

Nur dein Skript scheiterte beim Versuch, die Blog-URL aus den URLs der Bilder zu löschen – weil es die neue URL löschen wollte, aber die alte vorkam.

Da ich dein Plugin vor dem Domain-Wechsel nicht benutzt habe, ist mir erst beim Blick ins Skript und beim Ausgeben sämtlicher Variablen klar geworden wo das Problem lag.

Ich habe aber aus der ganzen Geschichte einen Vorschlag für die nächste Version:

Hoster, die das laden von URLs verbieten gibt es ja (aus gutem Grund) einige.

Dein Skript funktioniert dann nur, wenn die Bilder im Artikel auf dem lokalen Server liegen, Bilder von anderen Quellen scheitern logischerweise.

Vllt. wäre es hilfreich, wenn es in den Optionen die Möglichkeit gäbe, nur lokale Bilder ins PDF einzubinden, quasi als Zwischenstufe zwischen “gar keine Bilder ins PDF einbinden” und “alle Bilder ins PDF einbinden” gäbe.

Das sollte ja mit einer if-Abfrage machbar sein.

Great plugin ‘but’ I’m having one problem. I’m using Ozh Random Words http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ozh-random-words/ which allows you to insert predefined words randomly in your post by putting something like; [random:name_of_list] in the post which then display randomly from ‘name_of_list’ BUT your plugin does not generate what is presented on the page – it presents the inserting code [random:name_of_list]. Is this feasable?

erst Mal vielen Dank für den Super-Option-Manager. Auf meinem unter XAMPP laufenden lokalen Weblog bringt er astreine Ergebnisse. Meine Optionen-Datei funzt wieder wie geschmiert.

Mein Problem mit dem Plugin besteht nun aber auf der Server-Seite: Ich kann das Plugin nicht aktivieren. Beim Versuch, dies zu tun, bietet mir mein Firefox-Browser lediglich an, die Datei http://www.mls-ehemalige.de/wp-admin/plugin.php herunterzuladen und lokal zu speichern. Was läuft denn da schief?

Ich arbeite lokal mit Vista Ultimate, Firefox 3 und einer lokalen XAMPP-Installation. Serverseitig bin ich bei all-inkl.com auf einem Apache-Server unter Linux untergebracht. Die MySQL-Version ist 4.1.22-max-log, PHP ist 4.4.8.

der WP-Options Manager benötigt PHP 5. Ich denke das wird das Problem verursachen. Schau mal, ob du PHP 5 in den Optionen deines Server bei all-inkl aktivieren kannst. Wäre so und so wichtig, weil PHP 4 nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird und im Vergleich zu PHP 5 zudem auch echt ziemlich – naja, ich spare mir mal einen Kommentar – ist.

nach dem Update macht das Plugin zuviel des Guten. Zumindest wird jetzt der Google-Adsense-HTML-Code in meinen Beiträgen im PDF mit ausgegeben, was vorher nicht der Fall war?!? Ich habe erstmal wieder die vorherige Version aktiviert.

Okay, nimm mal diese Datei aus dem aktuellen Trunk und kopiere den Inhalt in die article2pdf.php im Pluginverzeichnis: http://svn.wp-plugins.org/article2pdf/trunk/article2pdf.php

Ich hoffe es funktioniert (script tags werden jetzt entfernt). Über Rückmeldung freue ich mich, dann mache ich einen offiziellen Release.

I like UTF, ISO sucks I know, but I will need some time to find a solution. Maybe I have to use a different library, we’ll see.

Es scheint so als könnten GIF-Bilder aus einem Beitrag nicht in ein PDF eingefügt werden. Zumindest lässt sich eine solche PDF-Datei nicht öffnen.

Hi Curank,

in der Doku der FPDF lib steht: “The GD extension is required for GIF.”

Vermutlich ist in deiner PHP Version die GD extension nicht verfügbar, sonst müsste es gehen.

Tipp: Mit dem PHP Befehl “phpinfo();” kannst du herausfinden, was in deine PHP Version an Zusätzen geladen wurde.

Die “litmaerz.gif” ist definitiv keine GIF, sondern eine JPG Datei, habe mir die Datei im Hex-Editor angesehen. Vermutlich wegen der Endung wird das falsch erkannt und deswegen klappt das nicht.

Warum die “ead.gif” nicht funktioniert, weiß ich allerdings auch nicht. Ich muss das mal mit den GIF Dateien testen. Vielleicht geht’s nicht, wenn die einen Alphachannel oder sowas haben.

Lieber Marc,

mit dem GIF das gar keines war hattest Du recht. Trotzdem funktioniert es bei meinen GIFs nicht Ist nicht so schlimm, ich verzichte halt auf das Einfügen der Bilder. Du kannst ja mal, bei Gelegenheit, in einem Deiner Artikel ein GIF einfügen und schauen ob es funktioniert. Dann hätten wir eine Gewissheit ob es an meinem Server liegt, oder ein Problem im Script ist. Das eilt aber nicht. Du bist in der letzten Zeit wirklich schon genug strapaziert worden.

ich habe das gleiche Problem wie Frank (0.20 und 0.21). Acrobat (7 und 8), getestet auf drei Rechnern,mit Firefox 3 und IE 7.

Mit der alten Version hatte ich keine Probleme.

Gut, Frank hat PHP4, du hast PHP5 – also liegt es schonmal nicht an der PHP Version. Was ich nicht kapiere ist, das die PDF Datei einfach leer ist (Größe 0 Byte). Es wird vermutlich irgendwie mit dem Outputbuffering zusammenhängen. Es wäre mal interessant, wenn ihr beide mir mitteilt (Frank und Daniel) welche Plugins ihr benutzt. Vielleicht funkt da ein anderes Plugin mit rein, dass ebenfalls Output Buffering benutzt.

Ich teste jetzt aber erstmal, ob es irgendwie am Content selbst liegen kann, damit ich das auch ausschließen kann.

Am Content selbst liegt es nicht. Ich veröffentliche in Kürze die Version 0.22 von article2pdf, die einen Debugger beinhaltet. Nur so können wir dem Problem von Frank und Daniel auf die Spur kommen.

Mit Frank zusammen habe ich rausgefunden, das bei im die generierten PDF Dateien, die im Cache erzeugt werden einwandfrei sind.

Es ist also ein Problem bei der Ausgabe.

So! Mit Franks Hilfe habe ich den Fehler nun identifizieren können: Irgendein Ausgabepuffer war noch offen und die PDF ist dann sozusagen ins Leere gelaufen.

Ich habe article2pdf nun so verändert, das vor der Ausgabe der PDF alle offenen Puffer geschlossen werden.

Die Version 0.23 wird in Kürze zur Verfügung stehen.

@Daniel: Das kriegen wir schon hin. Ich denke es ist problematisch, wenn mehrere Plugins output buffering benutzen. Eigentlich müsste ich das nicht unbedingt, daher werde ich das System wie die PDF ausgeliefert wird in der nächsten Version umstellen.

Dir empfehle ich erstmal bei der 0.19 zu bleiben.

Gleiches Problem in 0.24 mit Random Featured Post wie vorher. Das hängt sich irgendwie in den Post ein und die “addtoany”-Buttons sind auch in der PDF. Das sind echt aufdringliche Genossen…

Die Buttons habe ich entfernt, indem ich den Template-aufruf verwendet habe, aber das andere Plugin mußte ich deaktivieren.

Nun gibt es noch den seltsamen Effekt, dass das Plugin sagt, “Template file not found” (weißer Bildschirm, Schrift oben rechts). Beim zweiten Aufruf aber die korrekte PDF anzeigt.

Das sich die Plugins da rein hängen ist ja so gewollt… sonst werden nämlich Plugins wie NGG oder Polls nicht mehr berücksichtigt. Ich kann da leider keine Ausnahmen machen, entweder alle oder kein Plugin… das ist leider von WordPress so vorgegeben…

@Curank: Es wird das Standard Temp Verzeichnis des Systems verwendet, bei Linux normalerweise “/tmp”, was gibt das Plugin denn bei dir aus?

Falls es da Probleme gibt, könnte es sein, dass dein tmp Verzeichnis nicht für den Webserver schreibbar ist… das wäre seltsam. Müsste ich dann vielleicht noch frei konfigurierbar machen…

Bei mir auf dem Server funktioniert es so wunderbar, egal ob mit HTTP oder JavaScript als Redirect-Methode.

2) I use NextGen Gallery – The images are not included in the PDF if I use the flash player instead of the thumbs in my posts – it would be nice some kind of integration with that plugin.

This parameter must also be included to the pdf link, for example: If your translations are done via “…/my-post/?translate=de”, then the pdf link must have this parameter also – “/my-post/?translate=de&article2pdf=1″. But I dont know how the translation is made. Please post a link if you don’t know what I mean.

to 2) It’s not possible to include Flash into PDF. Sorry. I’ll use the NextGenGallery Plugin too and without flash display (btw: that is not very good because it’s not barrier-free!) the thumbnails are displayed in the pdf file.

@all und überhaupt:

Now I have made the tmp dir configurable (and some other minor improvements) and released a new version. I hope this solves some problems some users had.

Ja, die Tempdatei wird sofort nach dem Download wieder entfernt und beim nächsten Aufruf wieder aus dem Cache kopiert. Das ist noch etwas verbesserungswürdig, aber leider war dieser Weg notwendig, weil es bei einigen Usern leider Probleme mit anderen Plugins gab, die auch output buffering verwendet haben.

addtoany habe ich ausgelagert, indem ich den Template-Tag verwende.

Aber das was du schreibst bringt mich da auf eine Idee: Ich könnte es ja konfigurierbar machen, wann der Post in eine PDF verwandelt wird – also entweder vor den anderen Plugins, oder eben danach, dann könnte es sich jeder aussuchen. Das ist sicherlich machbar und dann könnte jeder selbst entscheiden.

@Claus-Uwe: Danke für den Report, ich kümmere mich drum. Die BR Tags werden vermutlich falsch ersetzt, wenn Sie am Ende einer Zeile stehen. Muss ich den Filter anpassen, dann sollte es klappen.

I am able to activate your plugin OK on my PHP5, WP2.7.1 installation. However I have a problem where I cannot edit and save any pages on my site afterwards. Deactivating the plugin allows me to again edit and save. Any ideas???

Sorry, it is the article2pdf plugin I was talking about.

I use many plugins, and I know all about conflicts and what a pain to troubleshoot it can be. I have worked through conflict testing several times, by enabling/disabling different ones together.

My problem is that I have shared web hosting and the server error logs are not available to me. I would like to use your plugin but need to put some code somewhere in my WordPress installation that will log the error cause so I can research it.

Hi Dan,

I have now checked the sources, there is only one function who could produce such an error: “_cache_remove_by_postid( $post_ID )”.

Try the following:

– Edit the article2pdf (if you like with the internal plugin editor)

– Search for the following row (line 1430):

$pdfpost = get_post( $post_ID );

– Replace that row against:

$pdfpost -> post_name = ‘test’;

Maybe there is a problem with the “get_post” function. If it works, then I can build a workaround for that problem.

I hope it will bring us nearer to a solution.

With article2pdf activated, with or without the change you suggested, if I try to edit a page (not a post) the editor does not show the permalink, the formatting controls or the text area. I have disabled the visual editor on my blog, so I can put raw HTML into posts/pages.

I’m a bit confused here.

Ich bastel mir grad local eine Seite und benutze dafür Thematic als Haupttheme und kontrolliere das Aussehen mit einem Childtheme.

Thematic benutzt in der index.php the_content statt the_excerpt, so dass ich das More-Element benutze. Article2pdf generiert nun aber nur bis zum More-Element und schneidet den Rest ab 🙁

Das schöne am Childtheme ist aber ja gerade, dass man das Haupttheme eigentlich nicht abändern muss (ich füge den Link zum PDF im Editor ein für Artikel, die das haben sollen und habe nicht die single.php geändert).

Wäre es daher möglich article2pdf dazu zu bringen, das More-Element für die PDF’s zu ignorieren?

Tolles Script, das bei HE auch super läuft. Leider nicht bei meinm anderen Hoster – dort gibt’s folgende fiese Fehlermeldung:

@Manu: Ich verwende auch das more element und habe keine Probleme, wobei der Hook für das Plugin übrigens auch get_content ist. Ich vermute jetzt einfach mal, das der Link für article2pdf einfach angepasst werden muss. Wenn du mal einen Link posten, oder per E-Mail schicken könntest, würde ich mal schauen und das näher untersuchen.

@Michael: Das Problem ist, dass der Hoster das etwas restrictiv eingerichtet hat, allerdings ist der Fehler eigentlich kein Problem, weil das Tmp Verzeichnis ja frei konfigurierbar ist. Problem ist lediglich, das die Warnmeldung jedesmal ausgegeben, weil die function sys_get_temp_dir bei jeder Initialisierung aufgerufen wird. DAS kann ich aber ändern und werde es im nächsten Update so machen, dass dieses Problem nicht mehr auftauchen wird. Lade dir von der Plugin Webseite mal die Version 0.19 runter, dort ist das Problem noch nicht. Nach dem Update kannst du dann auf die aktuelle Version wechseln.

Danke für die prompte Antwort, das hat mir erstmal weitergeholfen. Soweit dann auch prima, nur einen kleinen Fehler gibt es bei der PDF-Erzeugung: egal was ich beim “oberen Seitenrand” eingebe (in meinem Fall sollte es gerne 75 sein), der Abstand bleibt unverändert. Ist dieser Effekt bekannt?

Hi Marc,

in meinem Blog verwende ich sehr viele Codelistings, die ich mit formatiere.

Leider werden die Zeilenabstände in solchen Abschnitten vergrößert dargestellt und auch nur die 1. Zeile mit einem Rahmen versehen.

Ein “nice to have” wäre auch die automatisch Größenanpassung von Grafiken die momentan noch abgeschnitten werden wenn diese zu groß sind.

@Michael: Das war in der 0.19 leider noch ein Bug, Tippfehler bei einer Variable. Aber ich denke bis zum nächsten Update ist das zu verschmerzen.

@Andreas: Ich schaue mir den generierten Quellcode mal an und guck, dass ich das mit den Zeilenvorschüben und auch mit der Box korrigiere. Danke für den Beispiellink, sowas hilft immer sehr.

Die Größenanpassung der Bilder ist auf meinem Plan für die nächste oder übernächste Version.

Code Formatierung mach ich mit dem pre-Tag, da dieses die Zeileneinzüge richtig wiedergibt.

Größenanpassung der Bilder wäre nicht so wichtig erstmal.

Hello bum, editing the files like print “sdfsdf” ist not a good Idea, because a translation can easy made with poedit (http://www.poedit.net/). In the plugin directory you find a file named “wowcd-de_DE.po”. Copy that file to wowcd-kr_KR.po and open it with poedit. Set the correct language values in the poedit configuration and then start translating. Save the file and a “wowcd-kr_KR.mo” file will be created. Copy the .mo file to the plugin directory and your translations should be printed by the plugin (thats why we write in the plugin always __( ‘translatable text’, ‘wowcd’ ) to output something). After that send me the translations via e-mail so all korean plugin users can get that file through the wp plugin repository.

In a future release I will integrate the other Realmpools like Korea and so on also.

erstmal ein super Dankeschön für das tolle Plugin! Ich hatte schon fast die Hoffnung aufgegeben ein gescheites Post-2-PDF Plugin zu finden, aber hier ist es 🙂

Nur eins ist mir aufgefallen, aber ich habe hier unter den Kommentaren niemanden gefunden, der das gleiche Problem hat:

Wenn ein Bild auf einer Seite oder in einem Beitrag relativ verlinkt ist (z. B. “/bildordner/bild.jpg”), findet das PDF-Plugin das Bild nicht, gibt eine Fehlermeldung aus und macht kein PDF 🙁

D. h. entweder du findest das Problem im Plugin oder ich muss alle relativen Pfadangaben im gesamten Blog auf absolute Pfade umändern. *seuftzt*

Eine andere Frage:

Ist es möglich mehr als nur ein Template zu haben. Z. B. eins für Beiträge und eins für Seiten? Denn das auf der Seite angezeigte Datum hat nicht wirklich viel mit dem Inhalt zu tun.

Ich danke dir schon im Voraus ganz herzlich für deine Mühe und werde dir wahrscheinlich demnächst eine Spende über Paypal zukommen lassen 🙂

Wowhead doesn’t support Korean so all tooltips are in english. (coz I set wowhead to us)

Is there any chance to support korean tooltip in future release? (when I mouse over my gear or archivement, description shows in english only)

@Bum: I will release a new version today or tomorrow, where korean armory is supported, the output will then be in korean language. But: The tooltips from wowhead will always be in english, if there is no local wowhead korean subdomain. And currently there is none. Wowhead support german, english, french, spanish and russian.

@Antonio:

Eigentlich sollte das mit den lokalen Bildpfaden funktionieren, da gibt es eine extra Übersetzungsfunktion für. Ich sehe mir das nochmal an, möglicherweise ist das noch was buggy bei der Pfadermittlung.

Das mit den mehreren Templates und dem Datum bei Seiten nehme ich mal als Feature request für die nächste Version auf, das ist eine gute Idee. Besonders das mit dem Datum beim umwandeln von Seiten statt Artikeln. Macht Sinn.

danke für das article2pdf-plugin. Das funktioniert ja wirklich um Einiges unkomplizierter als andere Möglichkeiten zur pdf-Erzeugung. Insbesondere die Template-Erzeugung ist ja so was von einfach

Zwei kleine Probleme/Anregungen habe ich allerdings noch:

1. Bei einer Liste () werden die einzelnen Listenelemente nicht in separate Zeilen geschrieben, sondern einfach hintereinander weg (Beispiel: http://www.rechtslupe.de/zivilrecht/schadensersatz-vom-zwangsverwalter-37331 – Dort die Fußzeilen am Ende). Hier sollten die einzelnen -Elemente noch durch einen Zeilenumbruch getrennt werden.

2. Das Euro-Zeichen wird durch ein “?” ersetzt, was an der Konvertierung utf-8 -> ISO-8859 liegen dürfte. Kann FPDF nur ISO-8859-1 oder auch ISO-8859-15? Im letzteren wäre das €-Zeichen vorhanden.

Das mit der Liste habe ich mir angesehen: Es liegt daran, dass die Listenelemente im Quelltext am schließenden Tag keinen Zeilenumbruch haben. Ich habe in das Plugin bereits eine Filterregel eingesetzt, die dieses Problem im nächsten Release beheben sollte.

Das mit dem Euro Zeichen sehe ich mir auch nochmal an. Muss ich halt schauen, ob iso-8859-15 möglich ist, absonsten wird € einfach durch EUR ersetzt.

Das “WoW-Character-Display Plugin” ist schon ne feine Sache 🙂 ..danke dafür.

Ich bin grade dabei unsere Gildenhomepage neu zu erstellen und dabei sind mir noch ein paar Anregungen für zukünftige Versionen in den Sinn gekommen:

– speicherbare Grundeinstellungen für “Charakter hinzufügen”

Im Moment bekommt nach und nach jeder aus der Gilde eine Seite mit seinen Chars eingerichtet. Da wäre es eine große Bereicherung, wenn die ersten beiden Werte vorbelegbar wären.

– kurze, aufklappbare Listenansicht der Chars

Bei mehr als 2 Chars wird das Backend etwas länglich. Da wäre es eine tolle Sache, wenn du Chars nur als Liste angezeigt werden würden. z.B. in der Form “Charname Gilde Fraktion Server Level Klasse”.

– Optionstemplates für die einzelnen Klassen

Das ist schon ne etwas kniffligere Sache, denn grade bei Klassen wie z.B. dem Krieger müsste man ja 3 Templates vorhalten die dann je nach Talentverteilung angezeigt werden müssen.

– Button für den Editor

Im Seiten-/Beitragseditor wäre ein Button ne tolle Sache. Draufklicken, Fenster mit einer Abfrage wie der Char denn heißt, fertig. Im Prinzip so, wie es auch beim Einfügen von Links funktioniert.

Ich arbeite erst zwei Tage mit deinem Plugin, mir fällt mit der Zeit sicher noch mehr ein 😉

danke für dein Feedback. Deine Vorschläge finde allesamt recht ansprechend und will versuchen einiges davon bereits in die nächste Version zu integrieren. Das mit den Templates je skillung kann aber noch etwas dauern, das ist etwas kompizierter, aber machbar.

super Plugin. Das mit dem Alphakanal, hat mich auch gestört. Ich hab dann das Addon, auf das auch Peter hingewiesen hat, eingebaut.

Soweit funktioniert, das Anzeigen von Bildern mit Alphakanal. Allerdings haben die leider bei mir einen schwarzen Hintergrund:-(. Keine Ahnung wo da jetzt genau das Problem ist. So genau bin ich da jetzt auch noch nicht in die Materie eingestiegen;-). Den Patch habe ich mal auf meine Homepage hochgeladen, da er für einen Kommentar doch etwas groß wäre;-):

Vielleicht hilft es dir ja weiter:-). Jetzt bekommt der User zumindest keine Fehlermeldung mehr, wenn er auf einer Seite mit solchen Bildern ein PDF erzeugen lassen will;-).

Finde das auch nice was du da programmiert hast, will es benutzen nur eine Sache stört mich und weiss nicht wie man das ausblenden kann.

Das was mich stört ist das der Name angezeigt wird. D.h. er soll schon alles auslesen können nur der Charakter name soll nicht für andere user sichtbar sein wenn man es in einem artikel schreibt.

Ausserdem hätte ich eventuell noch paar fragen an dich aber das eher im msn, hab dich schon geaddet und wenn du zeit hast dann schreib mal zurück heisse im msn Cab bin schon in deiner liste.

Hallo Jomil, den Shortcode in den Beiträgen für bestimmt Nutzer auszublenden ist soweit ich das jetzt beurteilen kann technisch nicht möglich. Der Charaktername muss per Shortcode übergeben werden. Das einzige was man noch machen könnte, dass man statt des Namens eine bestimmte eindeutige Nummer übergibt, dann würde der Name nicht mehr im Beitrag stehen, sondern etwas wie dieses hier: [wowcd id=5] – aber trotzdem stände es so noch im Artikel. Würde das für dich reichen?

Adde mich mal lieber im Skype (“thegeek.de”), im MSN bin ich nie online, im Skype aber öfters.

habe ein Problem: Bei Kriegern wird scheinbar kein Verteidigungswert über 400 angezeigt.

Habe bei uns zwar bisher nur 2 Krieger (Morris, Skear) angelegt, aber beide haben eigentlich einen Wert von über 500. Angezeigt werden jedoch nur 400.

bei meinem DK ist es ähnlich, ich habe eigentlich einen Def Wert von 443, aber angezeigt wird nur 425. Das Arsenal gibt das so raus, weil die Boni bedingt durch Skillung und Haltung bzw. Aura nicht berücksichtigt werden. Klingt komisch, is aber so… ;(

Dein WoW Plugin ist echt klasse, ohne Frage, jedoch habe ich ein Problem mit der Ausgabe bei den Charakteren. Die Symbole des Equipments wird untereinander angezeigt und nicht wie bei Dir nebeneinander. Möglich dass es an meinem Theme liegt, aber daran will ich wirklich nicht schrauben. das liegt daran, dass dein Blog eine etwas ungewöhnliche Struktur hat, was die CSS Klassen angeht, aber ich habe das CSS überarbeitet und werde es im nächsten Update mit veröffentlichen. Dann sollte es überall funktionieren.

Ich schicke dir gleich nochmal eine E-Mail mit dem neuen CSS Code, so dass du nicht auf das Update warten musst.

Leider ist das Umbruchproblem immer noch vorhanden. Erzwungene Zeilenumbrüche werden im PDF immernoch mit einer Leerzeile ausgegeben. Siehe:

ah jo, das habe ich vergessen, habe es gerade nachgetragen. Ich checke das nochmal unter der aktuellen version ein, bitte in einer Stunde nochmal neu runterladen. Du wirst aber nicht drumrum kommen, deinen Beitragsquellcode an einigen Stellen zu überarbeiten, da teilweise breaks vorhanden sind (Zeilenvorschübe, keine HTML Breaks), wo sie nicht sein sollten.

Hast du mal einen Beispiellink wo es nicht geht, oder eine Fehlermeldung? Vielleicht hast du eine alte GDlib? (Sollte > 2 sein und GIF auch unterstützen).

I’m using your WoW Character Display plug-in. Currently, I’m displaying multiple characters on a page. What seems to be happening is that characters that have Tabards equipped are causing wierd formatting on my page, and makes the character sheet bump down to the next line (looks wierd). Is there any way that “Include” gear, could NOT include the tabard?

Many thanks for your excellent plugin implementation!

I just wanted to report that I have fixed my Error 500 issue; it seems that Apache server defaults to PHP4 for .php files. I did not know this until I used XAMPP (see my article here).

I have shared Linux hosting, and was able to add the following line into my .htaccess file at the web space root to force Apache to use PHP5 for rendering .php files: AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

Now that the plugin works, I do have another issue. If a post contains a link in it, I get an error in Adobe Reader when trying to open it. I have made a pdftemplates folder in my uploads folder and even tried using different font faces with no luck. I am using the latest version of article2pdf (0.26).

Any ideas?

Super Sache, Marc! Sowohl das Datum-Feature tut als auch die Bildpfade 🙂

Eins noch: gibt es die Möglichkeit einzustellen, dass im PDF Bilder auch so wie auf der Seite/dem Beitrag dargestellt werden, anstatt, dass jedes Bild in einer neuen Zeile ist (obwohl auf der Website die Bilder in einer Zeile sind)?

I have an update to my last post: it appears that images are causing the problem. If I disable images in the plugin admin page, the PDF is created without errors. And links (URLs) work fine. Just no images 🙁

JPG images seem to work OK, but the images I am having a problem with are PNGs. Here is a post on one of my test sites that has PNG images that cause an error in the PDF creation: Test post containing PNG images. You will find the link to your plugin “PDF Version” at the bottom of the post.

I don’t know exactly how I must form the image URLs so the plugin is happy… and in case it is relevant, my permalink structure is /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/, but I have tried using both numeric and default permalink structures with the same results (I cleared all cached PDFs each time the permalinks were changed).

Hi,

ich habe ein kleines Problem mit dem “WoW-Character-Display” Plugin. Das Plugin selbst funzt einwandfrei das klappt perfekt. Nur wenn ich auf einen Charakternamen in der Gilden Liste klicke sagt die WoW Armory das der Charakter nicht gefunden werden kann. Für mich sieht es so aus als würde der Charaktername nicht korrekt an die URL angehängt werden. Nur wie kann ich das beheben?

I have determined that my PNG files were 32 bit, which is not supported by FPDF. I have converted them to 24 bit PNG and they show up error-free now, except I have a new problem. The images overlap some of the page text. It looks like there is no support for DIV tags…

I’ll continue to test this but your input is appreciated.

habe wieder ein kleines Problem. Ich bekomme für den Char “Yggdrasil” keine Daten zurück aus dem Arsenal. Für (bisher) alle anderen bekomme ich zur gleichen Zeit Daten geliefert und auch die Anzeige im Arsenal (mit Sprung aus der Plugin-Page) funktioniert.

Hast du eine Idee woran es liegen könnte?

– more fonts; at least the basic web fonts like Georgia, Trebuchet should be available

– I would reaaaally like to customize the heading so that it could have different font, bigger size and remove those lines…

– put the date under the heading with normal font size

– … and add author next to the date 🙂

– these characters to the replacement array: ‘ (6-shaped quotation) –> ‘ and en-dash –> – .

with these changes I would be really happy to install the plugin!

@Mo: Lösch mal die XML Dateien im Cache für diesen Charakter und versuchs so erneut. Vorher etwas warten. Woran’s liegen kann ist in der FAQ erklärt (Limitierung von Zugriffen von einer IP auf das Arsenal).

@Lariza: I hope to integrate some of your suggestions into the next release.

@Alle: Bei Esther hat sich übrigens herausgestellt, dass es daran lag, dass den PHP Prozess zu wenig Speicher zugesichert wurde. Sie hatte ungefährt so 10 Plugins am laufen und da war das “memory_limit = 20M” zu wenig. Mit “memory_limit = 32M” ging’s dann aber wohl.

Nach drei Tagen ging es dann doch. Komisch war dabei nur, dass eben nur dieser Char nicht ausgelesen wurde…dutzende andere konnte ich während der Zeit ohne Probleme auslesen. Daher kann ich mir das nicht wirklich mit der Limitierung erklären.

Naja, hat ja jetzt geklappt.

Naja, das Armory ist halt noch Beta, ich denke eher das das Problem beim Armory lag, wenn du andere Chars problemlos auslesen konntest. Aber Hauptsache es funktioniert jetzt. 🙂

Hi Marc,

Can you please explain the changes you made with Article2PDF from version 0.19 to 0.20?

As I have noticed that ALL new version of Article2PDF (i.e. 0.26) display no content only the title in the PDF. Only 0.19 works well for me. Therefore, I want to know if this is conflicting with another filter/plugin.

zunächst großes Lob! Du scheinst Dir sehr viel Arbeit zu machen und sogar noch Support zu bieten! Kompliment.

Ich habe ein Problem mit article2pdf. Beim Aufruf des pdf-Links bekomme ich immer die Fehlmeldung

Ich bin da mit meinem Latein am Ende. Nutze übrigens die neuests Version (heute heruntergeladen). Was kann da falsch sein?

@Philipp: Deine PHP Version ist zu alt. Wenn möglich updaten, oder auf die nächste Version warten, ich versuche einen Patch zu integrieren, der das Problem löst.

@Mitul: Please send me a link to your content, I must have a look before I can say more. The content parsing was not changed very much from 0.19 to 0.20 and later.

ich weiß nicht ob das schon jemand vorgeschlagen hat, aber ich wurde jetzt schon öfters von Nutzern meiner Seite angesprochen, dass sie sich wünschen, das PDF würde sich direkt im Browser öffnen (ohne es erst “abspeichern” zu müssen). Ehrlich gesagt, fände ich eine Möglichkeit dies einzustellen echt super. Ist das technisch realisierbar? Auf anderen Seiten, wo ich PDFs zum Herunterladen anbiete, öffnet sich das PDF automatisch im Browser. Hat es also vielleicht mit der anderen URL-Schreibweise mit ? zu tun?

Version 0.19 of article2pdf works fine with either ‘None’ or ‘example.pdf’, but when I upgrade to 0.26 I get a ‘FPDF error: Cannot open…example.pdf’ message. The absolute path that appears after activation is ‘/public_html/blogs/…/pdftemplates/’, and the example.pdf file resides on that path.

Any idea of why this problem with 0.26?

auch von mir erstmal VIELEN DANK für das Super-Plugin! Bei mir funktioniert alles gut (Vers. 0.26 unter WP 2.7.1 und bei All-inkl), bis auf drei Unklarheiten:

1.) Dürfen Links nur eine bestimmte Länge (in Zeichen) haben? Ich habe einen Artikel, in welchem ich einen Affiliate-Link habe, der immer fehlerhaft bzw. nicht vollständig ins PDF übernommen wird, egal, ob ich ihn im Fließtext oder freigestellt einbaue.

2.) Kann ich in den Kopf (bei den Seitenzahlen) auch eine klickbare URL einbinden? Bisher habe ich dort einfach nur die www-Adresse manuell reingeschrieben. Ideal wäre natürlich, wenn es einen Platzhalter gäbe, der hier die klickbare URL des Posts (als Quellenangabe) automatische darstellen würde.

3.) Wenn ich per ul/li Aufzählungen auf der Seite erscheinen lasse, werden diese extrem im PDF eingerückt dargestellt. Ist diese “Einrückung” editierbar?

Gilde als Widget anzeigen, kein Problem!

Nur wenn wir unsere Gilde als Post haben wollen bekomme ich immer die Meldung: Guild Die Rache des Phönix not configured.

Mit anderen Gilden gehts! Irgendeine Idee?

Leider gibts es bei mir noch einen Fehler.

Ich nutzte als Startseite eine statische Seite und leider funktioniert dann der Link nicht. Er wird direkt an die Adresse der Webseite angehängt also http://www.test.de&article2pdf=1/.

Vielleicht hast du da eine Lösung für mich.

-It could be interresting if the plugin can “Add multiple post” in a PDF with the last 15 post.

-And why not build an “archive directory”(somewhere), and by default with a subdirectory for each new month, and its pdf.

Eine Frage hätte ich aber noch. Wenn bei mir eine PDF-Seite mit Bilder erzeugt wird, dann ist das Bild im PDF immer zentriert dargestellt, obwohl in der Seite das Bild linksbündig ist???

Hast du eine Idee? Kann man das einstellen?

For example, I would like to include displaying the author of the post, and article url etc.

Another query: I have a problem with curly single quote ‘ outputted as a ?

From what I understand, this is an issue with utf/iso?

It is not possible to create own templates for output, but you can upload a pdf template file as “background” for the generated pages. The single quote problem is as you said a problem with utf-8 and iso. The FPDFlib does not understand the utf-8 charset. But I will add that char to the replacement array in the next release.

nutze das pdf-Plugin in mehreren Blogs – und überall habe ich den Effekt, dass bei mehrseitigen pdfs mit eigenem Hintergrund die ersten Zeilen ab Seite 2 quasi weiß dargestellt werden. Das heißt, ich kann den Text dort markieren, aber er ist eben nicht zu sehen.

Ich möchte gerne meine Gilde hinzufügen, aber ich bekomme immer einen Arsenal-nicht-verfügbar-Fehler. Das Arsenal ist aber definitiv da, was ein Klick auf “test armory connection” beweist.

@Franck: Ich teste das mal mit meiner Installation. Möglicherweise gibt’s da noch ein Problem weil ein “‘” Zeichen mit im Realmnamen ist.

Update: Bei mir hat das Hinzufügen von Sternenkrieger Realm Sen’Jin geklappt. Versuchs einfach nochmal. Der Armory Server lehnt nach einer gewissen Anzahl von Requests weitere Requests ab. Vermutlich will Bliz damit verhindern, dass das Armory zu häufig durch automatisierte Scripts abgefragt wird. Das das Armory beim “Verbindungstest” dann antwortet, ist normal, weil du ja über eine andere IP Anfragst, als der Server wo das Blog läuft.

Sorry, the pdf library (fpdf.org) I use, does not support utf-8 charset, only iso. The only thing you can try is to use a custom font with your local language encoding (read fpdf.org and search for “makefont” tool).

I have true type font of my language. That is “Shruti.TTF” which comes with windows XP. Alternatively, I can also use “Arial Unicode MS” or I have many TTF fonts of my langauge. Does this help me ?

How can I use that font to generate PDF ? sorry for trouble, but I donot know from where I can start.

I have found your WP-Options-Manager does not work with 2.8. It will not activate, even with no other plugins active. I have PHP 5+.

super PlugIn! Aber leider funktioniert meine Vorlage.pdf nicht. Habe eine Leere PDF mit Kopfzeile (Text + Logo) und Fußzeile (Text)erstellt.

Doch wenn ich im Blog eine PDF downloade, funktioniert zwar alles, nur die vorbereitete vorlage-pdf zeigt meine Kopf,- und Fußzeile nicht an. Es wird also nur der Artikel ausgegeben.

Muss ich bei der Erstellung der Vorlage.pdf irgendetwas besonderes beachten?

Hallo Gordon,

eigentlich musst du nicht viel beachten, nur die PDF Vorlage sollte nicht höher als im PDF Format Version 1.3 gespeichert werden, da es sonst zu Problemen kommen kann. Falls die PDF mit Adobe Distiller oder ähnlichen Tools von Adobe erzeugt wurde, ist die PDF Format Version meist höher, das lässt sich im Distiller aber konfigurieren.

Ich hoffe das hilft dir bei dem Problem, ansonsten melde dich nochmal per E-Mail bei mir (siehe Impressum).

Ich habe einen eiteren Charakter names Myrddin auf einem anderen Realm, kann aber nur einen darstellen? Oder habe ich etwas übersehen?

Bei Myrddin (Dual Wield) wird die Offhand nicht dargestellt.

bin heute auf Dein geniales WP-Plugin article2pdf gestoßen.

Dein Engagement und das Plugin gefallen mir so gut, dass ich gerne eine kleine Spende dafür getätigt habe.

Das Plugin läuft auf meiner WP-Installation unter http://www.webseiten-infos.de.

Habe eine eigene Vorlage mit OpenOffice erstellt.

Schön fände ich es, wenn auch interne Verlinkungen (Anker) in der pdf-Datei übernommen würden (Vorschlag für die Weiterentwicklung).

Leider gibt es noch ein paar kleine Darstellungsprobleme mit geordneten Listen (siehe z.B. das Inhaltsverzeichnis unter http://www.webseiten-infos.de/planen/suchmaschinenoptimierung-seo/?article2pdf=1), tlw. mit der Code-Darstellung (siehe z.B. http://www.webseiten-infos.de/html-kommentare-von-wordpress-plugins-entfernen/?article2pdf=1), für mich unerklärlicherweise fehlender Textteile (siehe z.B. den letzten Textabsatz unter http://www.webseiten-infos.de/css-sprites-mit-generator-erstellen/?article2pdf=1) sowie oberen Rand nicht einhaltende Grafiken, sofern sie als Erstes auf einer Folgeseite erscheinen (siehe hierzu z.B. http://www.webseiten-infos.de/planen/suchmaschinenoptimierung-seo/?article2pdf=1).

Aber trotz dieser kleinen Darstellungsprobleme ist Dein Plugin schon jetzt eine tolle Bereicherung für mein Blog.

Darstellungsprobleme gibt es meistens, wenn der HTML Code nicht sauber ist. Z.B. wenn man Texte aus Word kopiert oder ähnliches. Nur mal so als Tipp.

Meine Webseiten sind durchgängig XHTML 1.0 Transitional valide und überwiegend semantisch korrekt (einschließlich Sprachauszeichnung “en” für englische Begriffe).

Lediglich bei CSS setze ich auch noch nichtvalide Eigenschaften von CSS3 ein.

Daran liegt es es also in meinem Fall definitiv nicht.

Ich denke inzwischen, dass es für eine gute Formatierung geschickter ist, als Nutzer einen pdf-Druckertreiber einzusetzen.

Ist wie bei meinen Blogs eine ordentliches Drucker-Stylesheet im Einsatz, dann sollte es keine Darstellungsprobleme im pdf geben.

Manchmal gibt’s auch Probleme, wenn der Code unerwartete Zeilenumbrüche enthält. Das stört den Validator natürlich nicht, aber das Plugin. Leider kann ich aber den Fehler, nun leider nicht mehr untersuchen, denn dafür muss das Plugin im Einsatz sein, sonst wird’s schwer. Vermutlich läuft da eine Regular Expression nicht richtig, oder müsste noch entsprechend verfeinert werden…

FPDF error: 16-bit depth not supported: /wp-content/themes/abook/images/feeds.png

Hi TIA,

that’s a new error message. The problem is, that the pdf lib can not import 16-bit images. Try to save the image as 24-bit png, that should solve the problem.

Thank you for the WoW Character Display plugin, it looks quite fabulous. One question, is there a way to display a character on the sidebar WITHOUT using widgets? I’m a bit obsessive-compulsive like that and prefer the “harder” method of putting stuff on the sidebar. 😉 I tried calling wowcd_shortcode directly or using the armory reader class to no avail, heheheh.

hi,

wowcd ist echt ein supi tool, ich hab da nur 1 problem:

ich hab 2 chars mit dem selben namen auf 2 verschiedenen realms.

dumm nur, dass ich entweder noch nicht weiss wie oder es im moment einfach nicht geht, dass ich alle beide in jeweils ein widget reinladen kann.

gibts da irgendwie ne lösung?

Brilliant plugin!

There’s just one thing I’m trying to do. I want to add a graphic at the top of the 1st page only. In Adobe Acrobat Pro I’ve tried adding as a watermark but the image appears on every page.

I also tried adding as a stamp. This works in that I get the image on the 1st page only, but because I have to increase the top margin so the text appears after the graphic, I end up with a huge margin on the subsequent pages.

Is it possible to achieve what I’m after?

Hello BF, it’s not possible to do what you tryed, because the plugin only can use the pdf template for all or for no pages. Sorry that I can not report other facts.

Would it be possible to update the plugin in a way it would pdfize a wordpress post which is made on several pages ? I use myself tag, which indicates to wordpress to split the post. But if use your pdf option, only the first page would be pdfized…

Thanks for the plugin. It has been working great, but I just discovered one issue that I’m hoping you can help me resolve: the plugin generates a copy for every downloaded PDF. That means if 1000 people download an article in PDF format, then 1000 PDFs are generated and stored. We had 1,349 PDF files generated in the last month taking up 1 Gigabyte of space. I’ve deleted these – but this will be an ongoing problem as the site becomes more popular.

Is there a way to 1) Automatically delete old temporary PDFs daily or weekly or 2) Not generate a temporary PDF for every download.

I use article2pdf but I have a small problem, this plugin don’t manage several pages when I use the “nextpage” tag into my posts. article2pdf generate only the front page (before the “nextpage” tag).

I have just verified and the problem is present in article “Die Twitaly Tour 2.0(09) – der Tourbericht”. There are 7 pages but a single page (the first) in the pdf file : https://www.das-motorrad-blog.de/die-twitaly-tour-2-009-der-tourbericht/?article2pdf=1

Maybe an idea please ?

Nun erscheint aber leider folgende Fehlermeldung:

@Jeffrey: Leg mal in den Optionen des Plugins das Temp-Verzeichnis in das Verzeichnis wo dein WordPress läuft, das sollte das Problem beheben.

Article2pdf definitely fills a gap, but unfortunately seems not to be able to output Chinese characters. I would like to give some more suggestions to the list of to do’s, such as the ability to add custom fonts (in this case generated by sifr), to adapt individual font sizes for each font (since e.g. Chinese characters should print bigger than latin text) and to add the pdf link on the search output page automatically. Also, Verdana seems to be a good option to be added to the standard fonts. Thanks.

Chinese chars will not be possible, because the fpdflib does not work with the utf-8 charset. It build for iso charsets.

As it has already been mentioned by NightAngel above, on multi-page-pages only the very first page is on the pdf. Would be great if the pdf automatically contained all pages of a page.

BTW: any chance to have an option (maybe only for the admin) to export a page+all its subpages to one single PDF? Would be extremly useful for creating an ebook of my site – about 150 wordpress pages, so doing it manually is less than ideal 🙂

Yes, no problem. Put the Link into your Theme, not into the post, and the link will not be included into the generated pdf.

I am currently working on a project that will display a friend feed. ratiotrading.com/project-rt/ (not sure if Im allowed to link or not – feel free to remove it after you looked). My problem is I need to display two different friends feeds. One in the red box and one in the green. I currently have the plugin set up the way you say in the instructions, but it will only pull one persons feed. (It displays both feeds in the boxes, even though they are set with different usernames/passwords)

Any solutions?

So I am using the plugin to post a friends timeline. (I followed the private account with a second account.) This was the only way I could think of doing it and your plugin helped me achieve it. sicher ein tolles plugin.

leider weiß ich nicht, was ich falsch mache ich habe zwei ordner unter wp-content/uploads angelegt: “pdftemplates” und “tmp”.

beide wurden mit schreibrechten versehen: chmod 777.

trotzdem erhalte ich auf der einstellungsseite im backend die fehlermeldungen, dass die schreibrechte nicht gesetzt wurden.

was mache ich falsch?

wo soll ich ansetzen?

erstmal VIELEN Dank für dieses Plugin. Super (viel!) Arbeit.

Habe es gestern installiert und es läuft perfekt.

Siehst Du irgendeine Möglichkeit auch TIF-Dateien einzubinden?

Habe es mit nngallery versucht, dort wird es aber nicht unterstützt. Der Hintergrund ist, dass mit einem Scanner erzeugte bzw. elektronisch empfangene Faxe (z.B. !Fritzbox) dann als PDF mit Artikelüberschrift erzeugt werden könnten. Ich scanne im TIF-Format, da dann die Datei noch sehr schön mit dem “Microsoft Document imaging” bearbeitet werden kann (Texterkennung – Anmerkungen usw.) – das ist der Grund, warum nicht gleich als PDF gescannt wird.

…und wenn ich schon mal hier bin, hast Du eine Idee, wie ich Dokumente verwalten kann ohne die “überladene” Software eines Dokumenten-Management-Systemes zu benutzen. Also z.B. wie nngallery mit Anzeige der Dateien in einer “Gallery” (Ordner)und Volltextsuche auf die Datei-Namen, sowie z.B. dem automatischen Ausdruck des Inhaltsverzeichnisses mit Artikel2PDF?

Leider reichen meine Programmierkenntnisse noch nicht aus um es selbst zu machen – bin erst auf Seite 153 im PHP-Handbuch 🙂

Falls es irgendwann reicht, werde ich versuchen meine Ideen umzusetzen.

Also vielen Dank nochmal für Deine Arbeit.

(wie findest Du die Zeit neben Motorradfahren noch soviel zu programmieren??)

Hallo Eddie, die Fehlermeldung besagt, dass die Bilddatei unter dem angegebenen Pfad nicht geöffnet werden kann (die Datei existiert nicht). Prüf mal von Hand, ob die Bilder wirklich da sind.

The modifications you made to Twitter for WordPress are great! I’ve been using it to display all tweets made by me and all @replies sent to me.

But I’m trying to make some more modifications. Do you know of a way to display usernames for each tweet? To show who the tweets are coming from?

Also – is there any way to make it so the search term doesn’t show up in bold in the tweets?

Don’t worry if you don’t have time to answer – I’ll search through the code to see if I can figure it out.

wir wollten dein Addon “WOW Character Display” bei uns auf der Gildenseite einbauen, jedoch sind wir auf einen Fehler im gecachten XML File gestossen:

Und zwar taucht im XML File nach 50-70 Zeilen ein “Enter” dann “1ff8″ und dann wieder ein “Enter” auf. Wenn das ganze mitten in einem XML Ausdruck ist, kann bricht die interpretierende PHP Datei das Parsen des XML Files an dieser Stelle ab, was man sehr schön hier sehen kann: http://florian.schloeglnetwork.at/unic pw: unic

Hättest du vielleicht eine Lösung diesbezüglich?

Hätte auf diesem Weg auch gleich einen Verbesserungsvorschlag. Wie wäre es, wenn man auswählen könnte welche Gildenränge dargestellt werden (um zB Twinks auszublenden) und wenn man auch eine Sortierung nach Klassen hätte wie zB hier: http://www.unic-gilde.eu/roster/

Hallo Marc, erstmal vielen dank für das plugin. echt klasse! eine sache nur: Wenn das pdf mehrseitig ist, kann es vorkommen dass, eine zeile beim seitenwechsel “verschluckt” wird.

ich habe ein bisschen mit den seitenrändern und der schriftgröße/zeilenabstand herum experimentiert aber zu 100% zuverlässig ist es nicht.

hast du eine idee woran es leigen könnte?

I’ve been using Wow Character Display for a while and I absolutely love it, but lately something’s wrong with it. It looks like it can’t find images for some (weirdly, not all) the achievements and gear in the latest patch. Is this because the plugin isn’t updated? Is there anything I can do for my local install if you don’t have time to update it? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the prompt reply – you can check it out on the blog linked on my name. The achievements for the new ICC dungeons don’t have images (Halls of Reflection etc)and some of Jen’s gear isn’t showing up at all (i.e. T10 helm). However, Shiny’s shield is also from the new instances and it shows up fine.

One more thing I noticed is that when I add a new character widget, the drop-down works fine until I saved the settings; afterwards it becomes empty and a string with all the char names appears underneath.

The layout (purple stuff under char names in the siderbar) was ok last time I messed with it, but it might still be my fault, I’m not the savviest persoon around PHP and CSS.

Vielen Dank für das klasse Flowplayer-Wordpress-Plugin.

Ist es möglich, da auch weitere Flowplayer-Plugins einzubinden? Konkret hätte ich an Untertiteln Interesse, das Caption-Plugin ist hier zu finden.

Aber vermutlich müsste man dann auch an wordTube rumschrauben, um den Pfad zur Untertiteldatei angeben zu können. Oder aber man sucht automatisch nach Untertiteldateien, die den gleichen Namen wie die Videodatei haben, halt nur andere Endung.

ich hab’ auf der o.g. website dein plugin article2pdf laufen und das funktioniert auch ganz hervorragend; danke für die viele arbeit!

zwei dinge sind noch nicht so ganz klasse: anführungszeichen unten werden als fragezeichen angezeigt, genau (ist ja schon bekannt und sollte über umändern in anführungszeichen oben behoben werden können).

was aber ist mit den minuszeichen bzw. kurzen gedankenstrichen? die werden auch als fragezeichen angezeigt und das stört dann leider auch ein bisschen. ist da irgendein lichtstreif am horizont zu erwarten?

Hallo Heike, die von mir verwendete PDF Bibliothek zum Erzeugen der PDFs unterstützt diese Zeichen leider nicht. Entweder damit leben, oder aber die Zeichen in ISO umschreiben, sprich normale und nicht diese Word Anführungszeichen verwenden.

@donvanone: Derzeit plane ich nicht, das Plugin zu erweitern, mir fehlt im Moment leider einfach die Zeit… zu viele Baustellen.

I think its time to go away from the 3D Armory profiles, now that the WoW-Armory has very fast loading 3D Models and Feeds. You can select poses, etc. And the Embed codes seem quite easy to integrate. Just too bad that I haven’t seen a way to add char data from the armory, like latest loot received.

sorry, ich hatte mich neulich nicht ganz korrekt ausgedrückt. ja, das mit den anführungszeichen bekommen wir jetzt anders in den griff (auf helvetica umgestellt, dann funzt das). ich hab’ da was von “kurzen gedankenstrichen” geschrieben, was bullshit ist, denn ich meinte damit bindestriche. bindestriche werden prima dargestellt. was nicht umgesetzt wird (und ein fragezeichen generiert) ist ein gedankenstrich, also die lange version des bindestrichs. unterstützt das die bibliothek, die du verwendest, auch nicht?

Hi, I am attempting to use the Flowplayer plugin for WordPress 2.9.1. I have the latest WordTube and WordTube Flowplayer installed but when I try to add a YouTube video to my site, I get the following error:

“200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound, [Clip] ””

This happens with all video using Flowplayer. If I use just regular WordTube everything works.

I have a major problem with WoW Char Display. Our guild plays on two separate realms under the same name, Tusks and Udders. However, your plugin identifies the guilds when added only by their name and nothing else. So if I add the second guild on the second realm, it overwrites the first guild. Any quick fix for this?

Hi Mitko! I tested the flowplayer plugin on a fresh new WP 2.9.1 and I had no problems, videos are playing fine. Maybe your Flash Plugin is to old? I remember, that the flowplayer need Flash 10 or above to work. Or maybe something is wrong with the path to the vids… the error message says, that the videos could not be streamed (loaded). Or it’s an video encoding problem.

Thanks Marc. I don’t think that it is the Flash version because it works fine if I go to the Flowplayer website. I am not sure what could be wrong with the path to the vids. As I mentioned, I am using the latest wordTube to add the videos to the library and then using the [flowplayer id=#] shortcode (per the instructions).

May be I should check the Flowplayer site for any help…

Hi Marc, thanks for your great plugin, I am not a real programmer but I would be very grateful if you could help me with the below problems I’m finding with your widget under my website http://www.festinhabobanoape.com :

1) I there anyway to show my tweeter friend’s Avatars beside their tweets?

2) Is there anyway links and author of the links could have a different colour than the tweet message?

3) Some long link lines are broken, the widget can’t identify the complete link when it’s split in two lines, so when I click on the link I get an error message.

I would be very grateful if you could help me with any of these questions, thanks.

Hi Marc,

I have just started using WoW Character Display and am enjoying it so far!

A few quick issues I;m running into:

– Short character display option does not seem to work when adding a character to a page although it seems to work under the admin page. If I select either short or long, I always get the full character display.

– The wowhead javascript mouse overs seem to have an issue with the formatting of some items and the mouseover will not work correctly. Looks like an issue with wow_armory_reader.class.php line 540. The ‘lvl=’ attribute should come right after the item ID from the looks of the wowhead website (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=22589&lvl=80). I commented out this line to temporarily fix the issue on my site. It should only affect heirloom items that are affected by level anyways.

It would also be great to have an option to display all guild members of applicable lvl (10+) with full character details but by still using the guild short code (or a variation of the shortcode). This would save people from having to create a separate ‘character’ for each member of the guild.

Other than that, thanks very much for all you time and effort! I look forward to future releases!

Thanks for looking into the new Armory Features. The above mentioned issuew ith displaying guilds also happens with characters. I have a character called Myrddin on 2 realms, so I can only display one of them.

– the first page dont print to pdf if we don’y have one article number, here is the workaround, test the / URI, insert this in your theme.

I cant put the code here, this is a blog page and this can cause a mistake in your post.

– the character “-” print good… or not, i didnt understand why, is a utfconvert bug ? I continue to searche a workaround.

– If you use a gallery image, the photos didnt print correctly. I will see how to correct this bug.

Hello, vielen dank für das article2pdf plugin. Sehr gut. Ich habe installed auch More fields plugin too mit dem ist es möglich andere “fields” zu haben in die atricle edit seite. Diese andere informationen sind nicht im pdf exportiert. Da ich neu zum WP bin, habe noch nicht genug kentnisse. Im single.php mann kann diese neu field mit rufen. Welcher file soll ich ändern mit dieser zusatzlicher tag um die info in pdf zu haben?

(Entsculdigung für mein deutsch 🙂

ich habe das Plugin article2pddf gerade installiert und es funktioniert bei einigen Artikeln auch. Allerdings entsteht bei z.B. diesem hier:

ein Fehler in der PDF. Im Acrobat sagt er “Beim Lesen dieses Dokuments ist ein Problem aufgetreten (135).”

Es wird nix angezeigt. Ich veröffentliche mit Microsoft LiveWriter. Einige der Artikel funktionieren allerdings einwandfrei.

First of all, great plugin for wordpress article2pdf. I’ve teste “Blog as PDF”, “AS-PDF”, “post2pdf” and “PDF24 Articles To PDF” and yours is the best one.

But I would love to have the possibility to export the entire blog, so I could just have 1 pdf file with all the posts of the blog in chronological orden. That would be great, because I use WordPress for documentation purposes in projects and some time to time I require to have a version printed.

Please consider this feature request. But again, thank you very much for this great plugin.

ich habe ein Problem mit Twitter for WordPress extended.

Auf der Widget-Seite kann man ja die Anzahl einstellen. Das funktioniert bei mir nicht. Ich kann weiterhin nur ein Widget auswählen und einbinden. Gibt es dafür eine Lösung??

I upgraded recently to wordpress 3.0 and installed your flowplayer plugin 0.99beta4

I have confirmed that wordtube is installed and working correctly, however the flowplayer reports an error 200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound, clip: ‘[Clip]

The wordtube player plays fine only when I use the flowplayer version.

I am hosting with dreamhost and I have asked them if they have FLV mime type on the server configured as that was all I could find related.

any assistance on this is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I made a small change to Twitter WordPress Extended which helps my code validate as XHTML strict — thought you might want to incorporate it. In your code, the Twitter avatars aren’t given the required alt attributes, so I added the code alt=”$usr” — and now my site validates. Cheers, and thanks for the plugin.

Does it seem correct that WoW Char Display is kind of dead these days? It hasn’t been updated in a year and stopped creating 3D Models or even the paths in the class=”armory_char_image”.

You told us in January that you’d have a look at it, since you had some free days, but unfortunately there must have been something more interesting to do 😀 (not that I can’t understand that)

But if you have some spare time, could you look at the stuff posted above?

a) add realm name to guilds, characters quick tags

b) get rid off the buggy 3darmory / maybe embed the iframes from the officiall armory

c) change the images for the character portraits

d) add the option to show only certain guild ranks

If can understand that this gives you a few things to do, if you abandonded the wow char display then pelase say so 😀

Ich bin heute auf “Article2PDF” gestossen und war begeistert, endlich hab ich ein richtiges Plugin gefunden. Mich stört nur noch eine Sache, .png Bilder haben in der generierten .pdf Version statt einem durchsichtigen Hintergrund immer einen schwarzen Hintergrund. 🙁
